J.D. Donnelly. May 20,
1964 - November 26, 2004
The first time I met JD Donnelly I was just a shy
young vocalist, who didn't know if he would fit in at
the next level. I was auditioning for what would
become Tryton. I knew immediately that JD was
more taleneted than any Bass Player I had ever
played with to that point. I could also tell that he
wasn't full of himself about it. He was a few years
older than me, but soon became one of the best
friends I have ever had. We played in two Bands
together, Tryton and Blind Robins. He influenced
my ability as a Vocalist, he influenced my ability
as a Song Writer, and he influenced me as a
person. JD was scheduled to travel to Ohio to
record bass tracks for my project Osper KIng
when he died. The project has not been finished
to date. I was shocked the day I heard the news
of his death, and I am still shocked. The tragic
loss of my friend has left an empty hole inside
that I will never fill. The legacy of music, and
poetry he has left behind will forever be a part of
me. The song on this page is one that JD and I
co-wrote the lyrics. Its called Shadows
