| Blind Robins/Slavenation 1992-93 |
After Tryton's breakup Al and bassist JD Donnelly formed Blind Robins with JD's
brother Ian Donnelly on drums and Mike Detzler on guitar. Although the band was
writing some great songs, the cohesiveness needed to make the band great just
wasn't there. Talked into changing the line up, Al agreed to reincarnate the band with
Mark Lewis on drums and Bob Busatil in Bass. The band would become Slavenation,
and again wrote some great songs, The band was doomed for failure almost at
inception due to personal conflict. Both incarnations recorded multiple songs.

I received a copy of the long lost Blind Robins Demo from JD Donnelly's
brother and former member of the Band Ian Donnelly. I wish the quality
was better. The songs I wrote with Blind Robins lyrically were some of the
best I have ever written. Hearing them again has filled me with memories of
the short lived project. If there was one band I could go back and do it all
again with, it would be Blind Robins.
